XY charts
XY charts allow you to plot an independent
(X) variable against any combination of dependent (Y) variables. This is especially useful
for comparing different types of data reported from each simulation. For example, the
graph below demonstrates the the effect of in-crop rainfall on crop yields and soil water
at harvest time.

To analyse simulations using XY charts:
- Open the [Charts] menu and select [XY
],
or click on the
icon on the toolbar.
- Select the data for analysis in the XY form. Choose
the simulation(s) you wish to analyse in the upper selection window, and the data you wish
to analyse in the lower window.
- Use the X variable drop down menu to choose the
independent variable for the x-axis.
- Use the Y variable drop down menu(s) to choose the
dependent variable(s) for the y-axis(es).
- Use the Chart type drop down menus to select the graph
type for each independent variable.
