The vision of the Western Farming Systems (WFS) project is an enthusiastic partnership between farmers, researchers and funding bodies to encourage progress towards more environmentally, economically and socially sustainable farming systems in south western Queensland.
To reach these goals the WFS Project uses a combination of rigorous participatory research, development and evaluation (RD&E) methods that involve farmers in replicated small plot research, commercial scale on-farm research, group discussions and learning.
